Eric Heiden is a doctor now and he admits that being in the medical profession has been the most fulfilling aspect of his life. Dr. Heiden is famous for being the first athlete to win 5 gold medals in an Olympics. Eric is a sports orthopedist inspiring the skaters even today.
Dr. James Andrews was his trainer, who by the way was an outstanding sports medicine doctor. Heiden’s is said to be clear-cut, sincere, and modest. The performance he displayed in the 1980, Olympics is here to stay for ever. His performance is so good to watch even the people, who got no interest in skating, are drawn to watch his act.
