BSA Motors Launches E Scooters in New Delhi, BSA Motors India
BSA Motors unveiled five models electric scooters in the capital today

The five models, Smile, Diva, Street Rider, Roamer and Roamer+ were aimed at a target audience between 14 and 30 years.
While the 250 Smile had a top speed of 25 Kmph and was aimed at the teenage group of population, Diva was the first escooter designed exclusively for girls in the age group of 16 to 20 years. Street Rider, along with Smile and Diva, required no registration and license. Roamer, with a top speed of 40 Kmph, would target working men and women group, while Roamer+ was ‘Family Scooter,’ the release said adding these two scooters, with a power of 500w, required registration and license.
Speaking during the launch, L Ramkumar, Managing Director, Tube Investments of India, said, "We see our entry into the electric scooter market as a logical extension of our current business, from bicycles to electric two wheelers. The electric scooter market is presently Rs.400 crore market in India and the industry is expected to double in a year’s time. BSA Motor’s foray into the electric scooters category helps us to expand our portfolio in the two wheeler market. He also added, "The initial market response for our product has been positive in the South and by extending sales and service network into New Delhi we hope to grow rapidly. BSA Motors electric scooters will undoubtedly be the next big success from TII."
Priced between Rs 19,450-27,200 (ex-showroom Delhi).
