Launch Google E-bookshop! Half A Million Books
Google will be launching an E-bookstore where readers can buy e-books from or read on a web browser on laptops, mobiles or even on eReaders.
Google Ebookstore will be up and running my early 2010 and would stock 500,000 titles on varied subjects and publisher.
The interested users can buy books directly from Google. Google will host the searchable e-books.
The books will be readable without even a live Internet connection as the books will be stored on the device. Sources indicate that Google currently digitized10 million books in the last five years. The book search will only have snippets and if interested, the users can purchase.
Google E-book store is expected to be competing against Amazon and eReader, which charge higher than what Google Expects to do.
Google anticipates that the E-book store would be beneficial to both Customers and the publishers.
