Hollywood actress-singer Jessica Simpson has sparked speculations she is dating Scottish actor Gerard Butler, after the pair was spotted on a night out in New York.

The pair visited Big Apple hotspot Soho House Tuesday evening, along with Simpson’s hairstylist friend Ken Paves but the stars only had eyes for each other.

"They were at a table with friends, but Jessica and Gerard, who sat next to each other, seemed to only be interested in each other and chatted for hours. They were laughing and flirting and eventually left together, along with Ken," said an onlooker.

While, Butler has previously been linked with Jennifer Aniston and Cameron Diaz, Simpson is newly single after she was dumped by her footballer beau Tony Romo.
