Lou Dobbs Leaving CNN !
CNN’s Lou Dobbs, a lightning rod for criticism following his transition from a business journalist to an opinionated anchor on such issues as illegal immigration, told viewers on Wednesday that he was quitting his nightly show to pursue new opportunities. Tonight, Lou Dobbs announced on TV that he was leaving his CNN television show, effective immediately.

Questions have arisen around whether Dobbs is leaving because of opposing political views, personal happenings, or other things all together.Dobbs said he’s leaving television because some figureheads in the media and politics have been urging him to “engage in constructive problem solving” outside of the realm of television. Does that mean he’s going to single-handedly stop the flow of illegal immigrants himself? Look out Laredo, Texas, you’re about to get a visit from Hurricane Lou!
Dobbs had been with CNN since its start in 1980 and was the terminal of the network’s example anchors.
