The Gosselins’ 10-year union is officially over.
A Pennsylvania judge issued a final decree of divorce this morning.
Jon and Kate Gosselin are officially divorced after 10 years of marriage, eight children and a year of tabloid headlines.
A lawyer for Kate Gosselin says she gets the family home in eastern Pennsylvania in the no-fault divorce agreement entered Friday.
Sources say now that Jon has severed his ties with Kate and TLC, he’s in “immediate financial trouble“. Jon has to pay a 5 figure monthly child support payment, but since he can’t take outside jobs, he’s finished.
Kate keeps the house and kids, Jon might—might—be able to keep whatever spare change he still has in his pockets, and neither one got to keep their dignity.
Even people who hate the reality TV show and despise the publicity-hungry couple have been riveted to the spectacle of this idealized American family of 10 coming unglued onscreen before our eyes. Many viewers have genuine concern as to what effect being on camera might have on the eight children — twins and sextuplets.
What a sad ending!!
