The Kannada superstar Vishnuvardhan, who died of cardiac arrest in the wee hours Wednesday, was household name in Karnataka.
Born as Sampath Kumar on September 18, 1950, he married to Kannada actress Bharati on Feb 27, 1975 at Kuchalamba Kalyana Mantapa in Bangalore.
Aptamithra Dr. Vishnuvardhan’s final journey will start from his Jayanagar home and it will pass by Jayanagar Complex, Syndicate Bank, Canara Bank, Gunsheela Nursing Home and enter the National College ground from the side of Aadi Kavi Pampa Road. His body will be kept there for Janatha Darshan till 4.00 pm.
Dr. Vishnuvardhan was suffering from some health ailments for the past five years and recently he had been to Mysore for rest. Yesterday, he was admitted to Vikram Hospital Mysore when he complained of severe chest pain. He died of heart attack at 2.30 today (30th December 2009). He was honored with six Filmfare awards. He had acted in 200 Kannada movies.
His Death is such a loss for Kannada film industry and the Indian cinema as a whole.
