ST. LOUIS – One person was killed and four others wounded when a man with an assault rifle walked into a St. Louis plant of ABB Power and began shooting.
Fire Department spokesman Bob Keuss says, authorities believe the shooter is still in the building.
Names of the victims were not released. Two were hospitalized in critical condition, one in serious condition. The other had minor injuries.
The shooting began 6:30 a.m. Thursday at the ABB Power plant.
Swiss-based ABB Group makes power transmission and industrial automation equipment. The company’s Web site says it manufactures transformers at the St. Louis site. A spokesman says about 270 people work at the St. Louis plant.
