Pat Robertson’s Haiti Comments Show Grotesque Insensitivity | Televangelist Pat Robertson’s claim that Haiti is "cursed"
Americans United for Separation of Church had to condemn today TV preacher and Religious Right leader Pat Robertson for his statement on Haiti Earthquake. He is said to have told that the devastating earthquake in Haiti is due the assumed pact the Haitians had with the SATAN.
Robertson on his Christian Broadcasting Network’s “700 Club” today spoke of Haitians signing a pact with the devil to be free of French domination.
He said that they “swore a pact to the devil” and that “They (Haitians) said, ‘we will serve you if you will get us free from the French’”
He asserted that the Haitians went up in arms and were free. But since then, they have been stricken by one thing after the other.
