image J.D. Salinger Dead Died Death “The Catcher in the Rye” JD Salinger Bio Wiki- J.D. Salinger the author of the book The Catcher in the Rye  died today at 91. The reports indicate that  J.D. Salinger died of natural cause. JD Salinger’s one and the only novel The Catcher in the Rye was published in 1951. The story of the character Holden Caufield would go on to influence many literary characters at that time and even now.

J.D. Salinger was born in New York in 1919. His father was Jewish  and mother a non-Jewish Irish descent. Salinger’s father, Sol, wanted J.D. Salinger to run the family business of making and selling Ham, Salinger instead become a writer.

Salinger’s writing were targeting adults, however even  teenagers were interested in it. The literary world is going to miss him a lot. RIP..
