Bank of America’s website has suddenly gone down. Site shutdown yesterday and hasn’t been brought up still. Is the Bank of America’s website been hacked? Customers are still waiting  for an official explanation or announcement from the Bank of America.

Few Bank of America Customers reported that they were able to access the site on a mobile device, however weren’t able to do the same from a browser. They have also reported that certain part of website is accessible via https://sitekey.bankofamerica.com on mobile device.

Speculations are that Bank of America  has intentionally shut their website down to sneakily slap  more fees on credit cards users. Few claim Bank of America’s website been hacked, though we are waiting for an official word. It could be a technical problem too.

What is your feeling about this incident? Being a bank handling public money, is it not ethical for Bank of America to come out with an explanation as to why their site is not working.
