Green Day American Idiot in a musical version is beginning it’s run at Broadway’s St. James Theater starting March 24, 2010. It’s going to be a preview on March 24 and open on April 20, 2010, it’s producers told the press.

Green Day’s performed “21 Guns” with the cast of the their planned New York musical based on their 2004 album “American Idiot” in the Grammy Awards 2010 event.

The reports have indicated that Green Day American Idiot Musical is going to be a Rock opera. Further, it seems Green Day’s American Idiot cast is going to be huge. You can expect a sensational performance in this musical adaptation of American Idiot. The book is handled by Armstrong and Michael Mayer, who is also directing the musical. The musical is centered on three young male friends whose life turn differently.

The music is composed by Armstrong and his band mates Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool. Produced by Ira Pittelman and Tom Hulce
