DRIVE4COPD 300 Race NASCAR Date Schedule Time Channel Video YouTube CPOD Disease Meaning Symptoms NASCAR Nationwide Series race –
NASCAR, The National Association for Stock Car Racing, Inc. and DRIVE4COPD, a multi-year public health initiative have partnered to rope in Hollywood, Sports and Music Stars to drive a 6,000 miles cross country to identify millions of American people with COPD, who might not even know that they have it.
This NASCAR DRIVE4COPD initiative is to raise the national awareness on the nations fourth largest killer, COPD a common disease.
CPOD is a progressive disease that includes chronic bronchitis, emphysema, or both, cutting the patients ability to breath leading to death. Hundreds of Americans die every year due to this dreadful disease.
DRIVE4COPD now is an “Official Heath Initiative” of NASCAR focusing on educating fans about this disease, meanwhile providing screening even at NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series races.
In addition, DRIVE4COPD plans to hold a season-opening NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway for the same cause.
The race called DRIVE4COPD 300 will begin on Saturday, February 13 and will be on ESPN2 at 1 PM.
