Shear genius is once again a fresh reality TV episode in the cauldron of reality shows this year 2010. It is not singing, dancing, cooking or designing this time, its hairstyle!! Shear Genius is all about top hair stylists in America competing against each other.
Shear genius is on Bravo networks Channel. Its 3rd season of Shear genius hosted by Camilla Alves and will be aired on February 2010 to start with. Earlier episode in April 2007 was hosted by Jaclyn Smith, if you would remember. Anthony Morrison won in this season. June 2008, season 2 was won by Dee Adames.
The show is simple!! All that the contestants have to do is cut and style hair to impresses the Judges. Currently the Shear genius contestant list has 12 candidates. There is going to be 2 rounds every episode, the first round called short cut is where the contestants would grab some benefit for the second round and none will be eliminated. The second round would be an Elimination Challenge in which the candidate is given a model (a Client) with expectation or goals set that needs to be achieved in model’s hairstyle.
The client or models are interviewed in the end by the judges to declare the best hair stylist and the worst after coming to a mutual agreement within themselves. The worst hair stylist will be eliminated.
