University at Buffalo’s Lockwood Library was closed and a combing operation was conducted by the police on Tuesday. The Police were called in by 4:00 PM, Tuesday after a surveillance camera allegedly caught an image of a person with a gun in the building.
The U-B’s North Campus building in Amherst was evacuated immediately and a search was conducted for a suspicious person, possibly carrying a gun.
The Police have finished their search at the University at Buffalo’s Lockwood Library and have found no sign of a gunman.
Here is what the Joseph A. Brennan, associate vice president of communications at UB told regarding the incident:
No suspicious person was found. Police have determined there is no threat to campus. Classes will resume tomorrow
