Lyssianasid Amphipod Arctic Shrimp Pictures Wiki Images Photos Video-

image In an amazing discovery regarding the conditions in which higher life can thrive, scientists for the first time established the presence of a shrimp like creature and a jellyfish beneath a gigantic Antarctic ice sheet.

600 feet underneath the ice where no light can reach, scientists expected to find nothing more than a few microorganisms.

Consequently a NASA team was stunned when they inserted a video camera to get the first extensive look beneath the ice sheet in Antarctica, when a curious shrimp like creature swam by and then sat on the camera’s cable. Scientists also dragged up a tentacle they suppose came from a foot-long jellyfish.

The NASA team said,

“We were just gaga over it,”

The 3-inch-long, orange critter was on their two-minute video. In principle, it’s a Lyssianasid amphipod, which is faintly interrelated to shrimp.

Marine creatures living by the hot volcanic vent in the Atlantic and in gloomy waters under thick Antarctic ice, heighten theories that planets other than Earth might be fit for life.
