Masters Week continues with today’s Par 3 contest, which will be broadcast "Avatar"-style in 3D. This is quite the achievement for the sporting world – it will actually mark the very first time a live, major national sporting event will be simulcast in 3D.

The telecast will originate from the Augusta National Gulf Club in Georgia. The 3D coverage will be offered on CBS, ESPN and masters.com. The event is being offered exclusively by a number of cable providers such as Cox, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, and Cablevision among others.

Of course, we can’t miss Tiger. The Masters was expected to be that way after Tiger Woods announced his comeback. Though he has already been a spectacle, the best or worst may be yet to come, once he actually goes on the course. His first 18 holes tomorrow will be among the most covered in golf history, as the world and the tabloids await to see if Woods is indeed back. No one knows what kind of odds to give him, or how he will hold up. But at the least, the Masters golf tournament 2010 is about to center on golf again.

The Masters Golf 2010 will be covered by ESPN and CBS for the US and BBC for the UK. Radio coverage will also be provided by BBC Radio in the UK and Sirius XM Radio in the US.
