imageTennis Grand Slam queen Martina Navratilova said she was diagnosed with a non-invasive form of breast cancer, telling People magazine in its Wednesday edition that her prognosis was excellent.

Martina Navratilova had an aggressive form of a Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS). The cancer did not spread giving Martina great chances that the cancer will not return and has been completely eradicated. Her treatment is not over, however. She will begin six weeks of chemotherapy beginning in May.

"I cried," the report quoted Navratilova, 53, as saying about the moment in February when a biopsy came back positive after a routine mammogram revealed a cluster in her left breast.

"It knocked me on my ass, really. I feel so in control of my life and my body, and then this comes, and it’s completely out of my hands."
