The oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico caused by previous week’s Deepwater Horizon oil explosion and fire is fast spreading across the sea. Thousands of barrels of oil is being dumped into the Gulf of Mexico daily as workers are trying to stop the spill. A burst oil head is the cause for this damage.

Now, the Coast Guard is planning to set the large oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico on fire to keep the spill away from shore in case the effort to cap the spewing well fails. According to the recent report the crew is unable to stop oil from polluting the gulf waters since an April 20.

For now, Coast Guard officials and BP will get together to control the oil that is actually seeping into the water while keeping the search effort to locate the 11 missing workers, even though hope for their survival is dim.
