Fifteen football fans were injured in Fan Stampede at the venue of the Pre – World Cup football match between Nigeria vs North Korea.

The World Cup is yet to start; nevertheless the agitation in the minds of its fans is mounting out of control. 15 people were injured in the stadium where a stampede took place today at the Pre-World Cup match between Nigeria and North Korea in South Africa.

The news reports have indicated that Nigeria fans frantically trying to use photocopies of tickets tried to push their way into the stadium, triggering the stampede.

Nearly 15 people were injured severely in the stampede that included one police officer when one of the gates fell over on him as fans hurried into the stadium.

A police official at the venue confirmed that

"He was crushed by the gates as people stormed them, trying to get in,"

Nigeria beat Korea on a score of 3-1.
