It was just like any other morning for Tejas Gaba and his mother Neena Gaba on a fine day in MARCH 2009 as they left home for bus stop at 7.35 a.m for school.

Neena never realized that it would be the last day she would see her son. While awaiting the school bus, Tejas asked his mother for a chocolate and when she was buying one, a car, HONDA ACCORD, silver color, came to screeching halt form which a masked man jumped out of the car and whisked away Tejas. Later, there were several ransom calls from the kidnappers, but Teja’s family abstained from paying them, as they couldn’t have a confirmed proof that Tejas was safe with them. Finally, the calls halted without trace of Tejas.

It’s been 19 long and agonizing months for Neena Gaba, whose 8-year-old son Tejas Gaba, then a student of DPS Panipat, was kidnapped from Panipat’s posh Model Town area while he was with her. But, Neena and her family are still upholding the hope that he might return home safely someday, especially after the case was taken over by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) this month.

The family has announced a reward of Rs 50 Lakhs to any person who leads them to their son.

Tejas, whose birthday falls on October 27 this year, has a remarkable resemblance to ‘Ishan’ (Darsheel Safary) of Taare Zameen Par. The family has now made an appeal to Aamir Khan to campaign for them.
