A fresh digital camera has been announced by the Nikon beating others in the race to bring in technologically advanced cameras, Nikon today revealed its new D7000 D-SLR.

The D7000 engages Nikon’s new EXPEED 2 image processing engine besides a 16.2MP CMOS sensor. And in addition it also encompasses an exciting 39-point auto-focus system along with a RGB 3D Matrix Metering System, around 2,016 pixels.

The D7000 has mere 20 minutes time limitations as far as the recording is concerned even though it has ability to record 1080p video at 24 fps. Live View can be put on when shooting a movie with a click of a button. It also comes equipped with a stereo microphone that can record sound.

Here is what Lisa Osorio, Nikon marketing general manager, said about the Camera:

“The D7000 D-SLR creates a new class of Nikon camera by delivering exceptional quality, control and an innovative feature set; this is a camera that enables D-SLR users to achieve a true expression of their creative vision, while concentrating primarily on image quality above all else”

The Nikon D7000 will cost $1,199 in retail for the body alone. In case you prefer to go for the kit version then it might cost $1,499 that includes 8-105mm lens.

Both the version is expected to be available by the end of October. 2010.
