Prince William has given his fiancée Kate Middleton the engagement ring that Prince Charles gave to Princess Diana long on the duo engagement.
William when asked by the media subsequent to their engagement, commented:
“It’s very special to me. As Kate’s very special to me now, it was right to put the two together,”
The ring having an oval shaped sapphire is encircled by diamonds.
William had proposed to Kate Middleton while on a safari in Kenya in early October, however he initially asked her parents for consent to propose.
Michael Middleton and his wife, parents Kate Middleton, have expressed their delight and thrill regarding the engagement announcement.
