The Kansas City Chiefs lost the game to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday and they didn’t stop with just losing. They were literally destroyed. Humiliated at 31-0. Several things didn’t go right for them.
The solitary thing that was set in stone yesterday was the Patriots grabbing the first postseason berth. In effect, at the present that they are 2 games up in the AFC East, they can take the division by materializing a win over the Packers, and by the Jets loss to Pittsburgh. Recent trends point to the fact that this could very well happen.
For the Chiefs the scenario is, lose one and they become susceptible. The rest of the world seems certain that the Chargers will run the table and we are just not that sure that they will. Our gut tells us KC can twist up one more time down the road and still get in.
For the Chargers, they should win all 3, naturally, is where they should start. They need the Chiefs to lose 1 game and then San Diego would hold the tiebreaker.
But the most fascinating of the NFL playoff scenarios 2010 is the likely elimination of the Colts. Since the Jaguars uphold a full game lead in the AFC South, they now have a possibility to take the division, if they conclude a season sweep of the Colts in Indianapolis.
