Last night the People’s Choice Awards was on air with few unexpected results.  As anticipated, the Twilight movie Eclipse stole the show by grabbing 4 awards that include the most coveted award for favorite movie.  Apart from that, Eclipse also took the awards for favorite onscreen team and favorite drama movie.  The fourth award it took was for the favorite movie actress that went to Kristen Stewart for her part as Bella Swan.

Nevertheless, somewhat unpredictably, Eclipse’s male stars failed to fare well.  Both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner lost the favorite movie actor award to Johnny Depp, who took the award for his part in Alice in Wonderland.  Robert Pattinson also lost to Zac Efron for the “favorite star under 25” award.

Contrastingly, Adam Sandler had really a good night.  His movie Grown Ups grabbed the favorite comedic movie award and Adam personally won the award for favorite comedic star.

It was Eminem who went home with most awards in the music category.  He snatched favorite hip hop artist, favorite male artist, and favorite song and video for his duet with Rihanna, ‘Love the Way You Lie’. 

In the country music category, Taylor Swift won “favorite country artist”, which was as expected.

The TV show “House” pocketed 3 awards that include favorite TV drama, favorite TV actor [Hugh Laurie] and favorite TV actress [Lisa Edelstein]. Bad for Glee, however it did win “favorite TV comedy” award though.
