After a rapid promotional campaign, sitcom The Game has come back in glorious form on BET last night. Now in its 4th
season, the drama had been off-air for 2 years now after being thrown out by its original network The CW, only to be invigorated after a enormously successful lobby for its return last year.
The sports sitcom focused around a trouble making sports agent, Tasha Mack [Robinson] and her professional football player clients, Derwin [Pooch Hall] and Tasha’s son Malik [Hosea Chanchez], none of whom can act their way out of paper bags.
The Game season 4 episode 1 is christened “Parachutes: Beach Chairs.” The show essentially picks up from where they might have left off 2 years ago. However, a lot has altered since then. Here is the recap of The Game season 4 premiere.
Derwin and Melanie are 2 years into married life with Melanie being a housewife and a step-mom to Derwin’s son. If you would retain, she spent the preceding few seasons studying to be a doctor. Certainly, she has some doubt that Derwin’s son isn’t actually his so she comes to a decision to get a DNA test behind his back.
In another place on the show, we see Tasha Mack dating a much younger guy named Donte. She attempts to keep her true feelings for him hidden, but ends up spewing out emotionally when she learns that his ex-girlfriend was Sheree from the show “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
In the meantime, we see Malik’s accomplishments are getting to his head. He is at present sleeping with the majority owner of his team’s girlfriend [played by the hot Meagan Good] and he is forcing his best friend to the limits. His friend Terrence who walks in on Malik in a Jacuzzi with the owner’s girlfriend and Terrence’s girlfriend eventually catches him.
Finally, the unending battle between Jason and Kelly persist. They just got out of their divorce and they use up the entire episode trying to get each other even more disturbed.
