The 2011 Bassmaster classic is about to start, with 3 days of aggressive angling that include the chief 50 names in freshwater fishing. This year’s classic is being held in New Orleans from February 18 through February 20, with boats setting sail from the Bayou Segnette State Park. While the casters fight for the top prize of a $500,000 and a total payout closer to a million bucks, large number of spectators is anticipated to attend the weigh-ins and the Classic Outdoor Expo, held at the Ernest Morial Convention Center.
50 boats will launch this morning to across the vast waters of the Mississippi River Delta, with each seeking a 3-day catch that prevails over the rest. More momentous to most, if not all, is the title of "Bassmaster Classic Champion." Each angler made his place in the Classic field, which comprises of several of the biggest names in bass fishing.
