“The Event” the famous series on TV returns on NBC this Monday with it’s main character, Sean Walker, played by Jason Ritter.

The show took a 3 months break, and the mid-season comeback is on for two hours tonight. The show is reported to have taken numerous changes since the first half.

In the earlier run, The Event had Sean rescue his girlfriend Leila, portrayed by Sarah Roemer, from her kidnappers. The couple later realizes that the U.S. government had been keeping a group of aliens hidden for almost 66 years and that Leila’s dad was also an alien in their midst living undetected.

Ritter reveals that this time his character, Sean Walker would be acting more serious as the series proceeds. The character is said to be under lot of stress resulting in transformation of the innocent qualities of the character.

Ritter says:

"He is having to become hardened to survive”
