It has been reported that ‘Saturday Night Live’ Alec Baldwin might be on the verge of breaking the longest running show’s hosting record.

Baldwin, who is currently in par with Steve Martin for the ‘SNL’ record, after he hosted the show for 15th time last year. The inside source recently confirmed that he would be breaking Martin’s record after hosting the Season 37 premiere soon.

Baldwin, if you would remember also works as the star of Michaels’ yet another NBC show, ’30 Rock’.

It has been gossiped that it is not his appearance in “30 Rock” that keeps Baldwin in to host ‘SNL’, but because of his ability to crack most extreme double-enders with a straight face. With Baldwin having established himself as unbeatable in the ‘SNL’ niche, he has given his own ‘Best Of’ DVD, to his non-cast members recently. Certainly a good gesture!
