Not to be left out from the hot Hatch back segment, Vauxhall is jumping in with it new Astra VXR. Here is a review of Astra VXR.
The most exciting of other things that matter is the fact the new Astra VXR will be the most powerful car in its class. With a .0 liter turbocharged direct injection petrol engine pumping 280 horsepower Astra will the fastest car ever made by Vauxhall. With a top speed of 248 km/h Astra VXR is based on the GTC’s platform. The torque is pegged at 400Nm.
One thing that Vauxhall overlooked all these years is that the front wheels fail to do justice to all that power while cornering. However at least this time Vauxhall has installed a limited slip differential between the front wheels that helps to distribute right amount of power to each of the front wheels while cornering. The Astra VXR now comes with lot of chassis modifications one of which is HiPerStrut (High Performance Struts) that provided effective handling capacity.
A unique chassis control system dubbed FlexRide has been fitted in the Astra VXR which ended in Astra VXR getting a sport button that would make the car go faster. Astra VXR also comes equipped with a ‘VXR’ button that does everything a sports button does, but much better.
