Are you tired of having Aphids on small plants at your home? Would you like to get rid of those Aphids? Then find here few tips of controlling the Aphids.
1. Beer & Alcohol
Make a mixture of water (40%) and beer (60%) and spray it on the plants to get rid of the Aphids. Alternatively you can use 70% alcohol in the water. Be careful to stick to the proportion or you might get the plants burnt . Use a spray bottle or cotton swab dipped in the mixture to apply directly to the aphids.
2. Soap
The problem with the Aphids is that they get destroyed easily however keep coming back. For this reason we have found that soapy water does a better job in keeping the Aphids at bay better than alcohol. Aphids are soft and anything that dries them up will do the job. Make a mixture of some soap in water, just remember to keep the mixture light, and spray it on the plant. You can opt for Insecticidal soap as it works better on the normal household soap. Ensure that you take caution when spraying on hairy leafed plants.
You can purchase aphid killer solutions that are prominently available at all garden stores, however please be aware that it is quite expensive considering the fact that you can use it just once.
